It is our 5 year anniversary of Charci Day – the magical day that Chad and I met at a Memorial Day BBQ party. THANK YOU LISA for inviting us to that party!!!
Who knew that five years from that blessed day, I would be sitting in our cozy home on a lazy Saturday morning, drinking coffee and reminiscing about past Charci Days. Chad is studying (sigh for Chad, he is working so hard!) in his office right now. Don’t worry, we have some dinner plans for tonight – we will celebrate!
While I reminisce, one word comes to mind – contentment. It is such an amazing feeling – to be content. It is a feeling that comes from spending countless hours getting to know a person, getting a true understanding of who they are to the core. It is making goals with your partner and seeing them through to completion. It is stopping amid the chaos sometimes to say, “Man, we have it good!”
While Chad and I are independent and fulfilled people in our everyday lives as professionals, friends, and family members, we also share a bond that is strong and just ours – we support, love and cherish each other. I cannot believe it has only been 5 years, I feel like Chad has been a part of me forever.
On this special day, Charci Day, I am thankful for a husband and best friend who makes me feel completely content!
